The property is the former home of Frances Shand-Kydd, mother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, and is believed to have been visited by Diana and her sons, Princes William and Harry. The bedrooms at Ladywell House comprise of one family room, three twin rooms and two double rooms with the rooms originally named in honour of their connections to local landmarks and royalty. The bedrooms include the beautiful 'Shand-Kydd' room, a superior double room with two huge windows and an ensuite with roll top bath and walk in shower. There is a further double room the 'Palace Room' which also offers an ensuite and a family room the 'Wills Room' which has a double bed, single bed plus a further pull out bed for one child. This room shares its bathroom with the neighbouring 'Harry Room' which is a spacious twin room with seating area and roof window. There is a further twin room the 'Lomond Room' which has a private bathroom with luxurious free-standing bath. The final twin room, the 'Diana Room' was decorated specifically for Diana, Princess of Wales and this decor in yellow and blue has been retained. This room is also well equipped with an ensuite shower room.
At the foot of the Lomond Hills, Ladywell House in Falkland is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding area with great attractions including Falkland Palace, The British Golf Museum, The Scottish Deer Centre, Knockhill Racing Circuit and Crail Pottery all set within a twenty minute drive. The property is also set just a 30 minute drive from the championship golf course at St Andrews. Enjoy pleasant walks around the village or along the nearby Fife Coastal Path. Ladywell House is also ideal for cycling breaks and there are 300 miles of sign posted routes in the surrounding area to suit all abilities.
