Situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Wilson Cottages are based in the old iron mining village of Lingdale just four miles from Saltburn and a thirty minute drive from Whitby. Perfect for both couples and families, there are plenty of scenic walks and cycle rides in the surrounding area or visit family attractions nearby including Goatland Station which is the setting for Hogsmead Station in the Harry Potter films. Surfing, fishing, golf, swimming and horse-riding can also all be enjoyed in the surrounding area during your stay. All four cottages are single storey barn conversions heated with underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump. Kitchens are well equipped with a washing machine and fridge/ freezer or fridge with ice box. Each also offers an outdoor seating area and entertainment facilities include Freeview TV and a DVD player. The Cottage is ideal for smaller families and offers one twin and one single bedroom, an open plan lounge/ diner/ kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The Cow Byre is one of our disabled friendly cottages which is equipped with a wet room shower, an open plan living/ kitchen/ dining area plus one double and one twin bedroom. The Calf House is also suitable for disabled guests and offers a fully tiled wet room, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and an open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner. Our final cottage, The Granary, can accommodate families of four in one double and one twin bedroom. There is an open plan living/ dining/ kitchen area plus a family bathroom with shower. All heating, linen and towels are included and a cot and high chair can be provided on request.
Our cottages are set in a semi rural location and you can enjoy the wonderful country views from your own patio seating area. The four properties were tastefully converted from traditional stone farm buildings and retain they original character outside. The interiors are well presented with a light and airy feel and the resort offers a lovely coastal outlook across the countryside. The amenities of Saltburn including restaurants and bars can be found nearby or take a trip on Britain's oldest water balanced cliff tram which can be found in the resort.
