The Main House
Wake up to the stunning views from the Juliet balcony in this spacious beautiful room. Or sit in the two tub chairs and relax and admire the view through the the French windows. The room also has a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and two ring hob and eating area, an ensuite bathroom with his and hers basins, bath and bath shower, a TV and DVD player. An extra bed can be added to make the room a twin. Families of up to four are welcome with a z bed supplied for the second child.
Wow is the usual reaction to this room. Breakfast is served in your room.
Both bed and breakfast or self catering guests are welcome in this self contained Studio with its own entrance. The Studio also has wonderful views. There is a double bed, a single bed, attractive seating area with TV, ensuite shower room and well equipped kitchen fitted with a full size oven, hob and microwave. There is even a dishwasher. A washing machine is available on request.
The wood burner gives an added atmosphere and deep warmth on those chilly evenings. A peaceful relaxing time can be had by sitting in the summer house in the Studio's small garden. The Studio can sleep two or three adults or a family of up to two adults and two children. Dogs are welcome in the Studio by prior arrangement free of charge.
The advantage of the Studio is that you can come and go as you please.
A delicious breakfast is included in the room rate for our Main House guests and can be provided for Studio guests at an additional charge.

Breakfast can be provided for Studio guests in the Main House at an additional charge of £10 per head. Dogs stay for free in the Studio but please note we do not accept dogs in the Main House. An extra adult can be accommodated in the Studio at £30 per night.
Children under five years old can stay for free in the Main House and other charges are as follows: 5-10 £10 per head, 11-16 £15 per head and 17+ £30 per head. Breakfast is included if you are staying in the Main House.
Walkers will find us situated in an excellent location for the first stop on the 110 mile Cleveland Way, which is about a mile away. A series of circular walks, of varying lengths, have been mapped out for you to enjoy from Willow Tree Cottage. Other outdoor activities in the surrounding area include pony trekking and cycling through Boltby Forest. The amenities and attractions of Thirsk are approximately five miles away. The surrounding area is famous for its links to James Herriot and the TV series 'All Creatures Great and Small' and the new channel 5 series 'The Yorkshire Vet'. Other nearby places of interest include Helmsley, Castle Howard, Newby Hall and Riveaulx and Fountains abbey. Also the steam railway at Pickering. York is approximately twenty miles away and the coastal towns of Scarborough and Whitby are a comfortable day trip away. It is an ideal location for exploring the North York Moors and the Dales.
From A1 take A168 towards Thirsk. Take the second exit to Thirsk. At the roundabout in Thirsk turn right and follow A170 Scarborough Road. After 1/2mile turn left to Boltby, Felixkirk.
Follow signs to Boltby for approx 4 miles.
Travel through village past church on left and old chapel on right. Go up the hill and by the bend sign, just out of the village, take a sharp left hand U turn to Willow Tree Cottage.
From Sutton Bank follow the signs to Cold Kirby and Hawnby. After 1 mile turn left to Boltby and follow the signs to Boltby. Just as you enter the village Willow Tree Cottage is on the right hand side looking over the village.
