About this Holiday Cottage

Lovely period holiday cottage converted from a traditional Kent Oast house to offer beautiful accommodation in a charming rural setting near to the historic city of Canterbury. The combination of oast and cottages has the use of a swimming pool and tennis court and for larger parties or group accommodation you can combine Great Higham Barn in the complex to sleep up to 44. Surrounded by farmland you can hire mountain bikes or arrange clay pigeon shooting with the owner. Ideally located just an hour and half from London and close to both historic Faversham and the popular seaside town of Whitstable there is lots to do during your stay!

Great Higham Oast and Cottages: Sleeps 18 in 6 bedrooms, 1 reception room, 2 bathrooms (1 Ensuite) and 1 WC. Outside patio with seating for 10,  BBQ and further outside space to the rear. Under cover car parking for two cars Entered through the hallway with room for coats and boots, leading to the spacious open plan living area. Sitting Area: Open plan, seating space,  TV / DVD player and Sky TV  Kitchen:  Equipped with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave and extractor fan, the adjoining dining table seats 10. Bedroom Configuration: Ground floor: 1 x family bedroom (sleeps 4) 1 double bed and 2 single beds and a wood burning stove. 1 x WC  First Floor: 1 x Master bedroom (sleeps 2) oak double bed and 1 ensuite with shower cubicle 2 x twin bedroom (each sleeps 2) each with two single beds  1 x Family bathroom with bath and hand-held shower over Cherry and Plum Cottages: both sleep 4, each property has 1 mezzanine bedroom and 1 sofa bed, 1 reception room, 1 family bathroom. Secluded garden (not enclosed) with BBQ, patio and seating for 4. Private covered off road parking for two cars. Shared use of outside swimming pool and tennis courts. Sitting room: French doors lead to patio area, wood burning stove with an ample supply of logs, sofas (1 sofa bed), TV/DVD WiFi connectivity Kitchen: breakfast bar, washing machine, fridge, electric oven, electric hobs, microwave oven and kettle. Dining table seats four  1 galleried twin bedroom (sleeps 2) 2 single beds 1 family bathroom on the ground floor, bath, integral showerServices: Under floor heating throughoutAll forms of digital music are catered for with USB links for most MP3 players.DAB radio and CD player also available.(Docking stations may not be compatible with some older iPods)

This is a carbon neutral development and all heating is supplied by the estate’s own coppiced woodland at no charge to the holidaymaker.In addition much of the electricity comes from a renewable source.Dogs are welcome as long as they behave themselves!A refundable security deposit of £1000 is payable in case of any breakages/damage.Cots and highchairs available upon request.
