Situated just a 20 minute gentle stroll from the shores of scenic Lake Windermere and Bowness, The Cottage Guest House is one of the oldest properties in the village and offers a luxurious base for a romantic break in the heart of the Lakes.
Dating back to 1847, our character property retains a wealth of period charm and offers a beautiful range of rooms including stunning four poster bedrooms. Windermere's choice of fine inns, restaurants and shops are nearby and the B&B is only a 2 minute walk from Windermere station.
Breakfast is served between 8.15 and 9.00 and we offer an extensive menu for you to choose from. Enjoy a traditional cooked breakfast made from fresh local ingredients, Eggs Benedict, scrambled egg with smoked salmon, pancakes or waffles with maple syrup, a three egg omelet, salmon blinis or French toast (sweet or savoury options available.)
Lighter choices include a toasted bagel with scrambled egg and bacon, a breakfast wrap or a toasted bagel with Philadelphia cream and smoked salmon. We hold an AA four star guest house award and an AA Breakfast Award.
