Walcott Studio is situated at Rawcliffe House Farm near Pickering and offers an excellent 'room only' alternative to bed and breakfast accommodation. Perfect for couples, our ground floor self contained studio room can be booked for both short breaks and longer stays and also enjoys access to the south facing courtyard with lovely country views.
Walcott boasts a high beamed ceiling and private entrance from the south facing courtyard. Facilities in the studio room include two armchairs, flat screen digital TV and a radio alarm clock. The kitchen is well equipped with a full size fridge with freezer box, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, draining board, crockery, cutlery and food cupboard. Wi-Fi service is available at Rawcliffe House Farm.
Very comfortably furnished with one super king-size bed which will convert to twin beds. The modern bathroom facilities include an electric shower over the bath.
Surrounded by open countryside and stunning scenery we are set in 42 acres of rolling pasture.
Bed linen is provided for your stay and we provide one bath sheet, one hand towel and one bath towel per person. We also supply a basic range of toiletries and a washing machine is available free of charge for guests to use. Basic kitchen supplies including a tea towel, dishcloth and washing up liquid is provided. Laundry facilities are available onsite with a free washing machine and tumble dryer charged at £1.
We offer a choice of four holiday cottages and two studio rooms at Rawcliffe House Farm - please see our website for our full range of accommodation. Our cottages can sleep for two to seven people with properties for families & those with limited mobility available. Both studios can sleep two people with our second studio, Gowland, also having space for a cot. Please note that none of our accommodation is pet friendly.
The nearest village, Newton-upon-Rawcliffe has an excellent traditional village inn called the White Swan which serves meals; also there is a small cafe - less than 1.5 miles from Rawcliffe House. In the village of Newton-upon-Rawcliffe there is a play area with swings, climbing equipment and an astroturf pitch for football, basketball or tennis.
We're only a mile from a station which is on the steam railway line of the North Yorks Moors Railway and there are a number if interesting town, villages and attractions within easy access, such as Pickering, Castle Howard, York and the Yorkshire Coast.
