Idyllically situated adjacent to Malmsmead's old packhorse bridge, Lorna Doone Farm Cottage is a property gem perfect for exploring the Exmoor coast and National Park interior. Combining period features including exposed beams with modern facilities such as Sky TV, this charming cottage is aptly named, located right in the heart of Lorna Doone Country. Up to two dogs are welcome for an additional fee and off road parking is on-site to the rear. The cottage is also conveniently just next door to a fine Cafe/ Deli with WiFi internet access and an outdoor seating area.
Accommodating four guests, this Doone Valley cottage has two first floor bedrooms including a Queen size double and a twin bedroom. The bathroom, also on the first floor, has a shower cubicle, wash basin and wc. Downstairs living space is open plan in style, accessed via an entrance hall. The well equipped kitchen contains a dishwasher, microwave, an electric oven and ceramic hob, a fridge, freezer and all kitchen utensils and accessories. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, cleaning materials and more is ready for arrival.
The open plan sitting and dining room features ample comfy seating, a dining table and chairs seating six and Sky TV. All electric, heating, towels and bed linen are included in booking - please bring along your own beach towels. A maximum of two dogs are welcome for an additional fee and amenities in Lynton and Porlock are just 7 miles away. Bustling Minehead to the east is 12 miles from the cottage.
Changeover day for weekly bookings from May to September is a Friday. Short breaks are available off peak from October to April, excluding Xmas and Easter. Arrival is from 4pm, departure by 10am.
