About this Cottage

Overflowing with character

This very charming, detached 17th century holiday cottage oozes character and was originally built as a coach house, used as a cow shed and then as an antique shop. It retains many features including stone flag floors, exposed walls and beams and is furnished and decorated to a very good standard with numerous objects in keeping with its character. Penrith is a market town with shops, restaurants and scenic walks to enjoy. Ullswater is 6 miles and the Roman Wall is 30 miles. The lakes offer watersports, horse riding, paragliding, golf, tennis and bowls. An ideal location for the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland. Shop and restaurant 400 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with stone flagged floor. Kitchen with stone flag floor. First floor: 1 double (5ft) bedroom with beams and wooden floor. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Spiral stairs to second floor: 1 galleried single bedroom (for child).

Gas CH, gas, elec, bed linen and towels inc. T/cot. DVD. Gas cooker. M/wave. W/machine. Freezer. Unfenced garden with small patio and furniture. Parking (1 car). Cycle store.
