Ideal touring base
Set on the fringe of the Northumberland National Park, this adjoining holiday home has been tastefully restored from a 19th-century farm building and stands adjacent to the owners’ home. Reached by a long private gravel drive, the cottage is in a peaceful rural setting, 1 mile from the small village of West Woodburn which lies in the deep valley of the Rede on the A68, which follows the Roman road from York to Scotland. Enjoy a scenic drive to Kielder Water, Hadrian’s Wall, and the interesting historic market towns of Hexham, Corbridge, Rothbury and Alnwick. Explore the Northumbrian Heritage Coast to inland National Park areas and up into the borderlands of Scotland. Classic car hire is available by arrangement with the owner.
