Stunning views across the East Yorkshire Coast towards Bempton RSPB bird sanctuary and the rugged grandeur of Filey Brigg can be enjoyed from here. Cliff top walks bring you to the bird sanctuary where many rare sea birds are nesting. For golfers, there is an 18-hole golf course just a short stroll from the door. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is easily accessed with pretty little villages tucked away deep in the valleys awaiting discovery. The market towns of Helmsley and Kirkby Moorside are easily reached. Pickering is home to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam train and a memorable journey through the glorious Esk Valley will leads into Heartbeats village of Goathland and is a must for all the family. The ancient sea port of Whitby is an easy 20 miles known for its connections with Capt. James Cook and Bram Stoker’s Dracula the colourful bustling harbour is overlooked by the abbey ruins and St Mary’s church.
