About this Cottage

A stunning 18th century barn conversion, lovingly restored with contemporary features, set on the beautiful Somerset Levels, a short drive from the unique and cultured town of Glastonbury. This well-presented, self-catering barn offers unique holiday accommodation and has been restored using traditional building methods, exposing original stone work and timber beams, along with stylish modern features. You will benefit from a private garden full of flora and fauna with an outdoor seating area and patio to soak up the Somerset sunshine. A 5-minute stroll through Butleigh will take you to the charming friendly local pub, priding themselves on their well-kept microbrewery ales and ciders, and ever-changing menu with locally sourced ingredients. Big Barn is set within 7 acres of private land for you to explore. A short walk to the enchanting Stone Circle and orchard is a must during your stay, with breathtaking views of the iconic Glastonbury Tor.

Should you manage to pull yourself away from the relaxing surroundings of Big Barn, the Somerset location makes for an adventure packed stay; the Somerset Levels, with an abundance of Nature Reserves to explore; the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous for its fascinating maze of caves, breathtaking views and of course Cheddar Gorge; and plenty of fun filled family friendly days out are on the doorstep, such as Wookey Hole Caves and Mill, Glastonbury High Street, Clarks Village Designer Outlet, the cathedral city of Wells, and the Roman spa city of Bath.

The property, situated in beautiful rural Somerset, boasts an airy open plan living and dining room, large fully equipped contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar, and spiral stairs lead up to the luxurious bathroom and cosy bedroom. Shop and pubs ΒΌ mile.
