Perfect for a summer or winter break, this central terraced holiday cottage is situated in the tranquil Holyhead Mountain village of Pentra Pella. The famous Welsh landscape painter, Kyffin Williams, compared Pentra Pella to an Italian hill-side, where the houses seemed to grow out of the mountainside, and was one of his favourite places to paint. The property is dog friendly with plenty of walking nearby, including 125 miles of coastal path literally at the doorstep. Walk to the top of Holyhead Mountain, the highest on the island, for stunning views out across the Irish sea and the whole of Anglesey, to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond. Drop down to visit South Stack Lighthouse and to the RSPB reserve to see the puffins, or down to Holyhead to walk along the breakwater. Within an easy drive of several sandy beaches, AONB and Heritage coastline, ideal for walkers, cyclists, surfers and even motor racing enthusiasts (Anglesey circuit is a short drive away). Snowdonia National Park is a 30-minute drive. For children, visit Foel Farm Park and Anglesey Sea Zoo. Enjoy the quiet Mediterranean-style garden which attracts all sorts of wildlife and is a perfect suntrap in the summer months. Horse riding and golf nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
