About this Cottage

Adjoining the main farmhouse, this holiday home, converted from an old joinery, is set on a family-run livestock farm. Birdoswald Fort on Hadrian’s Wall is 2 miles and the cottage is centrally located for exploring the Lake District, Northumberland, the Yorkshire Dales and Scottish Borders. Attractions include Talkin Tarn, Walltown Cragg, Lanercost Priory, Rheged and a calendar of country shows and farmer’s markets. There are excellent walking and cycling routes throughout the area. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed (for alternative sleeping)/dining room/kitchen with beams. Bathroom with corner bath, shower attachment and toilet. Steep, open tread stairs to galleried double bedroom with beams and sloping ceiling.

Elec heaters, elec, bed linen and towels inc. Freeview TV. DVD. Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine, t/dryer and f/freezer (in external utility room). Sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Stabling and grazing facilities available by arrangement with owner. Natural water supply from spring. No smoking.
