Frondeg (Pretty Hill) is a 17th-century former blacksmith’s cottage in the centre of the hamlet of Mallwyd. Mallwyd is situated in the Snowdonia National Park between Dolgellau (9 miles) and Machynlleth (10 miles). The holiday cottage has been refurbished but has kept its original features such as its beams and stone fireplace with woodburner. To the front of the cottage is a well established garden with a raised decking area for summer dining. Many varied country walks start from the door and there is fishing in the Dovey river just down the lane from the Brigands Inn, an award-winning pub and restaurant. Ideal for golf.
