Fisherman’s Bank is a semi-detached fisherman’s cottage just 10 yards from Mudeford Creek, overlooking Stanpit Marsh (SSSI) and Nature Reserve. The holiday property has a paved area and shared slipway for clients to park and launch their own dinghies. The town of Mudeford has a picturesque quay with a sailing and windsurfing centre and from the quay visitors can take crabbing and fishing trips, as well as speed boat cruises. For families, Avon Beach is close by. Ferries go to Christchurch and to Mudeford Spit/Hengistbury Head, home of the famous Mudeford beach huts and the Noddy train. The historic town of Christchurch is only 2 miles away and has a natural harbour, two castles, an 11th century priory, as well as 4 miles of sandy beach. Christchurch also offers many guided walks and boat tours. Also close by is The New Forest, 6 miles, for great walking, Highcliffe Castle, Exbury Gardens and Lymington (Isle of Wight ferry). Bournemouth is a 20-minute drive with its Blue Flag beach, shops, bars, restaurants, gardens and Oceanarium. Shops and pubs ½ mile.
