Greetham Retreat offers a very good standard of accommodation within the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A former agricultural barn and crew yard, the properties have been converted into purpose-built self catering holiday accommodation with a smart contemporary style, and have all been awarded Visit Britain 4 star Gold Award. Set in 4 acres of grounds which includes a maturing woodland area with mowed walkways, wild flower meadows, wildlife ponds and a variety of seating areas from which to enjoy the outstanding views. The owners have erected several bird and bat boxes around the grounds to encourage conservation and attract wildlife such as barn owls, tawny owls, kestrel and other species. Greetham Retreat recently saw its first kestrel fledglings in one of the newly erected boxes. Greetham Retreat welcomes well-behaved pets and are very dog friendly (with the exception of Laura’s Loft ref: 25911). The location is ideal for those who wish to get away from it all and enjoy the peaceful countryside found in this area of the Lincolnshire Wolds. There are many walks straight from the door and throughout the area which has good cycle routes too. Fishing, golf courses and horse riding are also available nearby. The market town of Horncastle, well known for its antique shops, is only 3½ miles away, and the Georgian market town of Louth is 9 miles away. Lincoln Cathedral is 22 miles away with the sandy beaches of Skegness just 18 miles. Properties 25888, 25889, 25909, 25910 and 25911 can be booked together to sleep up to 16 guests.
