A tall, character, 19th century townhouse, once the home of sea captains, Abbey and Esk has wonderful views over the River Esk and you can see the beautiful Abbey ruins from our garden. Jolly steam trains regularly puff past lending an old world charm to this quiet area, which is only a gentle stroll away from the many attractions of Whitby.
We offer two individually decorated en-suite double rooms with showers and complimentary water and tea trays, and we have a twin room with its own bathroom on the floor below ( jacuzzi bath ). There are quite a lot of stairs as the rooms are at the top of the house.
Guests are assured of a warm, friendly welcome. We serve our hearty breakfasts at a large table and the views of the lively activity on the river never fail to fascinate.The house has parking on a private road and Wi-Fi is free. A dog is welcome by agreement, at no charge.
Guests may use the large sitting room with T.V. and lovely views.We are a non- smoking house, but guests may smoke in the garden.
Prices-per room- £70 for 1 night, £65 each night for 2 nights or more. Children up to 12 years half price, under 5s free.
