Coombe Bank Guest House in Sidmouth has a Visit Britain 4 Star Silver Award rating and provides luxurious en-suite guest accommodation throughout the year. We have also been awarded a Gold award certificate by the Sidmouth in Bloom judges for our garden, which is available to guests and overlooks the beautiful Sid Valley. We are located close to historic Sidmouth town centre and beach, the walk being via the Byes River Walk. We've recently been given the Kellogg's breakfast award and our guests love Harry's breakfast, with all diets such as gluten and lactose free catered for.
Sidmouth is a Regency resort situated on the magnificent Jurassic coast. The town provides a snap shot of a bygone era and is renowned for its clean beaches, shops and fine hotels. Sidmouth nestles below the majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the fabulous Sid Valley. The guest house has ample off road parking for guests. For the comfort and safety of all guests, we operate a strict no-smoking policy.
We have 3 double and 2 twin rooms which are all en-suite, the bathrooms having recently been refurbished and the rooms redecorated and carpeted. All bedrooms have views over the Sid Valley and each have a new colour TV providing DVD facilities and free-view channels. They also have an alarm, tea and coffee facilities, mini fan and central heating, as well as an iron and ironing board for those holidaymakers missing this task! We have one twin room on the ground floor, and our stairs are user friendly with hand rails on both sides.
We have a large and comfortable dining area in which you can enjoy a wide range of breakfasts including daily made fresh fruit salad, smoked salmon and haddock, and of course the traditional Full English, using Colyton Butchers award winning products, and sourcing all food items as locally as possible when is season. Evening meals and snacks are available if required. All diets are catered for including Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten and Lactose free.
Exit M5 at junction 30. Take first left signposted Exmouth/Sidmouth following the A3052 for approximately 13 miles until you approach the "Bowd Inn" on the left. Turn right at this junction and follow road for approximately one and a half miles until you approach Station Garage on the left. Turn left immediately after garage into Alexandria Road. Coombebank is approx. 200yards down on the right immediately after the row of terraces set high above the road.
