A charming traditional stone cottage in the Yorkshire Dales, 2 Hollies Cottages just 2 miles from Settle nestles in the pretty village of Stainforth and is perfect for families and holidays with dogs. Surrounded by open countryside, the cottage has a choice of walks from the door and sits a mere 4 miles from the Three Peaks, one of the Yorkshire Dales' most popular spots for walking. Fishing features locally on the village stream and pet friendly pub the Craven Heifer serving fine food and ales is within easy walking distance.
Changeover day is Saturday (flexible by arrangement only). Arrival 3pm, departure by 11am. Short breaks are available (minimum stay 2 nights).
The cottage is just 4 miles from the Three Peaks and just over 2 miles from Settle for the steam railway. The Settle-Carlisle Railway runs right through Stainforth village and the iconic Ribblehead viaduct along the line is nearby.
Stainforth village is just to the north (around 2 1/2 miles) of Settle, easily accessed off the B6479 Settle to Horton in Ribblesdale Road.
As you travel along the B6479 from Settle, Stainforth is positioned on the right hand side of the road. Ignore the first turn signed for Stainforth. Take the second exit, heading towards the village. The cottage is in the second block on the left just past a telephone box and a car park on the right. Bungalows sit opposite in Allen Close.
From Horton in Ribblesdale (around 3 miles from the cottage), heading along the B6479, Stainforth village is on the left hand side of the road. Take the first exit signed for Stainforth, then follow directions as above.
