At the end of the M5, Junction 31 follow the A38. When the road splits out take the A380 signed for Torquay. After 10 miles at the Penn Inn keep in the right lane, and cross over the flyover to Torquay along the A380.
Keep left and take the next junction signed for Kingkerswell. At the roundabout take the third exit signed for Stoneycombe.
At the next double roundabout take a second exit signed for Stoneycombe (on the first roundabout). Carry on to the pinch point (sign for 6'6" road).
Take the right fork but do not go through the pinch point. Carry on straight ahead for 500 yards. When the road bends 90 degrees to the right carry straight on (Greenhill Road).
Follow the road over several speed bumps and at the end take a right turn. If you miss the right fork and end up going through the pinch point you don't need to turn around - carry on through the village and up the hill.
Continue over more speed bumps to the top of the hill then take a right at the crossroads signed for Whilborough and Colmpton. Carry on along this narrow lane for about half a mile until you see a sign for North Whilborough.
