Just 15 minutes’ drive from Bath city centre, in the tranquil and beautiful Midford Valley, is Brooks’ View. This four star Gold Award cottage is full of original period charm and perfect for a weekend away, honeymoon or romantic break. There are plenty of walking and cycle routes if you fancy something active, or just take it easy with a spot of city sightseeing. The cottage is self-catering but don’t feel obliged to eat in, two independent pubs are a short walk away and both serve delicious home cooked food.
Brooks’ View cottage dates back to the late 1800s and it’s one of four properties originally built for Somerset Canal workers. It has a master bedroom that can either be arranged with a king size or twin beds. The bathroom features a walk-in shower and decadent Victorian roll top clawed bath, perfect for a long soak. With its traditional wood burning stove, the cosy living room is the ideal place to spend an evening with your feet up in front of the TV. Free Wi-Fi is also provided.
Outside is a south-facing private garden that leads to the banks of Midford and Horsecombe Brooks. A private BBQ and dining area is included. The cottage also has free off-road parking and cycle storage.
