Dolbrodmaeth Riverside is a stunning Snowdonia country house spectacularly situated in a riverside location at Dinas Mawddwy, 15 minutes from the ancient market town of Machynlleth. Dolgellau and the Cader Idris mountain range are within easy reach and the many places to visit nearby include Powis Castle, the Welshpool and Llanfair Narrow Gauge Steam Railway and the popular Centre for Alternative Energy at Machynlleth.
We have 10 attractive en-suite rooms and a riverside bar and restaurant with delicious locally sourced cuisine and fine craft beers and local ales available. Our beautiful riverside gardens are the perfect spot to relax on warmer days or get active and enjoy one of the many activities available locally from walking and watersports to mountain biking and bird watching. The pretty small market town of Dolgellau is also only 10 miles away and nestles at the foot of the great Cader Idris mountain range in south Snowdonia.
Take a tour of nearby Powis Castle or a ride on the Welshpool and Llanfair Narrow Gauge Steam Railway. Other nearby attractions include the Corris Mine Explorers with a trip down an abandoned Welsh Slate Mine or visit RSPB reserves at Lake Vrynwy and Ynys Hir.
Some outstanding 18 hole golf courses are nearby and the hotel is the perfect base for an activity break with local outdoor pursuits ranging from walking and clay pigeon shooting to windsurfing on Lake Bala and excellent mountain biking in the Trawsfynydd and Machynlleth area.
