Situated in one of England’s most stunning National Parks, the beautiful Swallow Cottage in the North York Moors is an attractive two bedroom cottage – ideal for both families and couples.
The cottage has a great blend of contemporary yet elegant furnishings and features exposed stone walls and vaulted ceiling beams.There is an outdoor patio and garden area to the front of the property and ample parking to the back, providing a perfect home from home throughout all seasons.
This fully equipped self catering cottage has a fantastic modern kitchen and spectacular views across the North York Moors countryside.
Adopting an open plan design with a mezzanine style landing overlooking, the lounge is beautifully contemporary with a unique feature wall, vaulted ceiling beams and large windows with views over the surrounding countryside.
Entertainment facilities include a wall mounted Freeview TV with DVD player and Amazon Fire TV box, an iPod docking station and a CD Radio.There are two sofas – one of which can be used as a double sofa bed and the room also has mood lighting options.
There is a generous fully fitted kitchen set under beamed ceilings and equipped with a number of state of art appliances including an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, built-in filter coffee machine, Dolce Gusto machine kettle and toaster. This room also has a family dining table.
Swallow Cottage has two en-suite bedrooms situated on the first floor; a master double and a single bedroom with a drop down bed, ideal for one adult and one children. Both rooms have full bedroom furnishings for storage and each en-suite bathroom has a shower.
There is a double sofa bed in the lounge for additional and alternate sleeping arrangements.
From the kitchen at the front of the cottage there is access to an enclosed garden with countryside views. The garden has a patio area with outdoor table and chairs, BBQ, chiminea and a surrounding lawn area.
To the back of the cottage there is a hard standing parking area. There is a secure bike storage area for guests bringing a bike.

We welcome up to two well behaved dogs in the cottage but ask that they are not left alone whilst you are out unless in a pen or cage. We also have dog excercise fields available for guests.

There is no phone reception at the cottage, however if you'd like to make or receive calls and text messages then a complimentary internet mobile phone is available.
Changeover day for the cottage is Friday and guests are welcome to arrive from 3pm. The cottage must be vacated by 10am on the day or departure. Short breaks available in off peak seasons.

Families have a number of day trip options within an hour’s drive including Flamingo Land, Playdale Farm, Scarborough Sea Life Centre and the seaside villages of Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay and Sandsend
Heading from North (A19)follow A171 Guisborough to Whitby, about 3 miles past Guisborough turn right signposted Castleton,Hutton le-Hole,continue for about 3 miles and turn right after bridge (Eskdale pub on your right) go straight over next crossroads after 1.5 miles you arrive in Westerdale,turn left up through the village over cattle grid and take next turn on the right sign posted Woodend only,Riddings farm and Swallow Cottage about a quarter mile on the right.
From Hutton le Hole village head straight through Hutton le Hole passing Ryedale Folk Museum and The Crown public house on your right. Carrying straight on for about 4 miles until you pass the Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge on your left. Travel another 2 miles and see a left turn (first left after Lion Inn) sign posted for Westerdale. Head down this road about 1 mile to first left turn. Follow about a quarter of a mile to Riddings Farm and swallow cottage on the right. The postcode is YO212DX.
