Perfectly placed for walking holidays in the Yorkshire Dales, Thwaitedale Cottages at Thwaite village are ideally situated in the heart of Upper Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales.
Traditionally furnished and with spectacular country views, our four properties include East and West Chapel, two wings of a luxurious Victorian chapel conversion sleeping 2 to 6, and East and West Cottages, two beautiful Dales stone cottages sleeping 2 to 4.
The Chapel and Cottages are all pet friendly and include free Wi-Fi, private parking and patio areas with beautiful views.

Each cottage has a patio seating area where you can relax and enjoy the views. The seating area at East and West Cottages is accessible by stone steps from the off street parking area and is adjacent to the Thwaite stream and waterfall.
East and West Chapel Cottages also have a private outdoor parking area.
East and West Chapel plus East Cottage all have a Saturday changeover for weekly lets. West Cottage has a Friday changeover day, and short breaks (minimum 2 nights) are available in all properties.
Discounts apply for couples booking, using only one bedroom - weekly prices in The Chapel are also available.
We welcome well behaved dogs at an additional charge of £15 each (2 maximum) in both properties and The Chapel and Cottages are all non-smoking throughout. Your rental price includes heating, electricity, linen and hand towels.
Book Thwaitedale Cottages individually or in conjunction to accommodate larger groups. The two adjacent East and West Cottages booked together sleep 8 or book all 4 cottages to accommodate groups of up to 20 guests - ideal for family gatherings, wedding parties and walking groups. The Pennine Way runs directly through Thwaite village! Bustling Hawes with its wide choice of shops, restaurants and amenities is a mere 6 miles away across the Buttertubs Pass.
You'll find a licensed restaurant in Thwaite, plus a cosy inn and tea room in Muker which are within 1 mile. Our nearest 'small' supermarket is in Hawes, the market town for Upper Wensleydale, 6 miles over the Buttertubs Pass, one of the stages for 'Le Grand départ.
We are situated in Thwaite, Swaledale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 6 miles from Hawes over the Buttertubs Pass, and 10 miles from Reeth, on the B6270. Approximately 25 miles from the M6 J37/38 or from Scotch Corner/Bedale / Leeming Bar on the A1.
