About this Holiday Cottage

Low Arnside is a detached barn conversion cottage on a working farm near to Coniston in the Lake District. The cottage sleeps six people and has two double bedrooms and one twin room as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a woodburner. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a front garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. With its neighbouring cottage, Low Arnside sleeps a total of twelve people in the beautiful Lake District countryside.


Three bedrooms: 2 x double (one with TV), 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen. Sitting room with inglenook fireplace and woodburner.

Electric storage heaters with woodburner in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with FreeSat, DVD, CD, radio, iPod dock, selection of books, games and DVDs. All fuel, power and wood for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 2 cars. Storage for bikes. Enclosed front garden with furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 2.5 miles. Note: This cottage is situated half a mile up a single track drive. Note: Low ceilings and doorways.

Around and About

Coniston is a lovely village set at the tip of Lake Coniston, in the midst of spectacular mountain scenery, in the Lake District National Park. Coniston has a number of amenities, and is the ideal base for a variety of outdoor pursuits. There is superb walking and climbing on Coniston Old Man, and watersports enthusiasts will enjoy dinghy sailing, canoeing or simply sitting back and relaxing on the steam gondola which crosses the lake. The attractions of the lakes are on the doorstep, including Hawkshead, the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Ambleside and Windermere.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
