Situated in the village of Threlkeld and only a few miles from Keswick, Heather View is a unique three bedroom cottage set at the foot of Blencartha, an 868-metre-high mountain – ideal for challenging walks and hikes.
The cottage is conveniently located for easy access to the central Lakes and is within easy reach of Derwentwater and Ullswater, making the perfect base for families and friend groups looking to explore the national park.
Full of home comforts and mod cons, Heather View is a perfectly equipped self catering cottage with the addition of private parking, equipment storage facilities and its own garden.
The lounge has comfortable sofas set around an open fireplace with entertainment facilities including a TV, DVD player and CD radio player. Also boasting magnificent views, the bright and vibrant dining room has a large family dining table with seating for six.
The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and all crockery and cutlery. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine, dryer and enough room for storing walking gear and bikes.
Heather View Cottage has three generously sized bedrooms comprising two doubles and a twin bedroom. One double room has an en-suite with walk in shower unit. Bedrooms share access to a fully tiled and spacious family bathroom with shower over bath.
The cottage has its own private garden with outdoor furniture and seating for six people. There is private off road parking for up to four cars.
Bed linen and towels are provided for your arrival and the cottage has full central heating throughout.
Thelkeld is a small village at the foot of Blancartha and boasts fantastic access to all areas of the Lakes including the famous market town of Keswick which is only 5 minutes driving distance from the cottage.
Being centrally located in The Lake District National Park, we boast easy access to a number of walks including Blencartha, Helvellyn and Skiddaw Pike. For cyclists, the Coast to Coast trail from Workington to Sunderland can be picked up in Threlkeld.
There are a selection of traditional pubs nearby and a wide selection of restaurants in the area.
Short breaks are available between November and March for a minimum of three nights.
