The cottage is set in the idyllic country location of the Westcoast Highlands, with spectacular views across Sea Loch Feochan. Oban, the 'Seafood Capitol of Scotland' and the unofficial capital of the West Highlands is just 4 miles away and home to the main ferry port for the Inner and Outer Hebridian Isles. Further up the Glen, there is a homely country inn which serves great home cooked food and real ales.
The garden is enclosed and child safe, though please note that there is a babbling brook at the end of the garden. Garden furniture and a barbecue are available, perfect for al fresco drinks and dining, with stunning views of surrounding open countryside.
The cottage is ideally placed for a variety of fun activities, such as free fishing at Loch Scammadale, water sports at Craobh Haven, horse riding at Achnalaraig, clay pigeon shooting on the Brenfield Estate near Lockgilphead and diving at the Puffin Dive Centre in Oban.
From the south on the M6/M74 take the new Glasgow south route follow airport signs, heading for Erskine bridge then onto the A82 heading for Crainlarich then at Tyndrum take the A85 for Oban. (Or for Trossachs route head for Stirling on the M73/A80). Take the M9 for Perth, exiting for Stirling at junction 10, taking the A84 heading for Crianlarich, finally on to the A85 to Oban.
From Oban take the main A816 South road - signposted for Lochgilphead and Campbeltown - continue for 2 miles, turn right on road signposted for Lerags and continue for 1.5 miles to Lagnakeil lodges reception where you pick up your cottage keys.
