Please call us today to discuss your requirements and to book your stay.

Inside

All on one level, Fern Crag Lodge is superbly furnished and equipped, facilities include a TV, DVD and CD player, dining area and a well fitted kitchen featuring everything you need for a self catering break.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms comprise:  2 double bedrooms, (one of which has an en-suite WC and shower), 1 twin bedroom as well as 1 additional stowaway bed and a sofa bed.  The large house bathroom consists of a bath and over-bath shower.

Outside

Fern Crag has its own car parking at the rear, making it a fantastic base for exploring the attractions of the region.  Alternatively, you can relax on the veranda while enjoying the captivating views out over the surrounding acres of private woodland.

The grounds benefit from a fenced croft area so you can relax on the decking or in the garden whilst your pets play safely close by.  With plenty of walks and beautiful countryside surrounding the accommodation, there is never a dull moment for you, your family or your outdoor-loving pets.

Facilities/ Additional Information

Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement. We make a small charge for pets to cover the additional cleaning time required between guests.

As our location is only a few hundred yards away from part of the Tour de Yorkshire route 2016 and 2017 and only a few miles away from some of the Tour de France stages of 2014, we have recently added cycle storage and washing facilities for up to 10 bikes giving you the option of following part of the routes using your own bike or hiring one locally, should you want a more active holiday.

As many guests prefer to bring their own towels, we do not routinely include them. However, if needed, they can be hired from us for a small charge.

A welcome tea tray is made available to guests on arrival.

Group Accommodation for up to 10 when booked with Stone Croft Lodge

If you require accommodation for larger groups, this lodge can be booked alongside Stone Croft as they open up via double internal dividing doors to offer group accommodation for up to 10 people.

Availability

The accommodation is open all year round and available for weekend and midweek breaks as well as longer stays.

Around and About

With plenty of walks and beautiful countryside surrounding the accommodation, there is never a dull moment for you, your family or your outdoor-loving pets.

The lodge shares 29 acres of private, natural, ancient oak woodland with deer, squirrels, rabbits, owls, jays and a plethora of other bird and plant life. Red kites can often be seen soaring on thermals from the nearby Harewood Estate.

Nestled on a Nidderdale hillside, between the village of Summerbridge on the river Nidd and the remarkable National Trust area of Brimham Rocks, there is plenty of freedom to wander over the many moorland and woodland tracks, making this the ideal base for walking holidays and cycling breaks. A short distance away is the spa town of Harrogate and the cathedral city of Ripon as well as a range of visitor attractions including the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey.
