For a quiet break in the lovely Hamlet of Harrop Fold The Manor House is the perfect choice. Our stunning holiday home has been converted from a property dating all the way back to the 1600s and has a Grade II listing. We have finished the cottage with beautiful antique furnishings to compliment its age, and you'll find original features such as wooden beams, an inglenook fireplace set with a wood burner and mullion windows. The cottage is ideal for families of up to six people.
One of the best rooms in the cottage is the lounge, where you'll find comfortable seating and an entertainment system containing a TV, DVD player and a Sky box with a basic package. WiFi is also available free of charge so you can use your own laptop. Additional details include an antique grandfather & a Vienna clock. The kitchen diner, has a red Rayburn cooker for winter use alongside an electric double oven and hob, a washing machine and dryer, a fridge freezer, a microwave and ironing facilities.
We have 3 bedrooms- 2 double bedrooms and a special twin bedded room for the children. The bathroom has been fitted with a luxury power shower and a bath.
We can provide you with a cot and high chair for those of you staying with younger children, although these will need to be requested in advance. There is 1 off road parking space at the cottage.
Please note this cottage does not accept pets though we do offer two smaller pet friendly cottages onsite. Our four cottages can be booked together to accommodate up to 15 people. Contact us for details of group or pet friendly holidays.
The changeover day for the cottage is Saturday and short breaks can be booked between October & Easter. You can call or email us now to make your booking.
The cottage is the perfect base for families exploring the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland. The historic market town of Skipton - gateway to the Yorkshire Dales - can also be found a short drive away or take a scenic train ride along the Settle - Carlisle Railway which starts 12 miles away. The Lake District, Lancaster and Lancashire coast seaside resorts are also all within one hour's drive from the cottage.
Harrop Fold is signposted off the Grindleton to Slaidburn road, near its junction with the road from Holden and Bolton by Bowland. Continue to the end of this single-track road, passing Harrop Chapel on the right. On arriving in Harrop Fold you will see a long white house on the left. The road then turns sharp right and my house is some 20 yards directly in front of you, with the brown garden gate. The cottages are close by.
