Located in the tranquil and rural village of Aldbrough is the Wentworth Country Guest House, a distinctive property dating back to around 1620. The interior may have been altered but there’s still plenty of character and the owners, who have run things for over 10 years, will ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Each room at Wentworth includes a bathroom (either shower or bath with shower over), complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, wardrobe, Freeview TV and a full length mirror.
Choose from: Jamaican Suite - a large ground floor room with a double bed and double sofa bed. The Wentworth Suite – three rooms, a four poster bed, lounge and double sofa bed. Bartholomew – a twin room with a shower. Lamwath – a double room with shower. Towery – a large bedroom that can either be used as a double, twin or triple room. Sandpits – four poster room. Cliff – larger double room with a wooden bed.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 – 8:30am during the week and 8:30-9:30am at the weekend and Bank Holidays. The menu includes a traditional full English, kippers and smoked haddock.
Guests are invited to relax in the resident’s lounge which also has comfy sofas, TV, books, games and puzzles. Bean’s Bar is fully licensed and used primarily for functions; however it can be opened for larger parties.
Wentworth House has a range of facilities and equipment which allows for small to medium functions to be accommodated. Buffet-style catering is available for up to 100 guests. Where required: food, drink, flowers and even the resident karaoke DJ can be provided.
Open most days of the week is Wentworth Pottery and Croc Doodle and there’s a wealth of activities ages and abilities. Come and socialise and share your pottery interests with like minded people.
Situated just east of Hull, the guest house is in the village of Aldbrough which is easily accessible by major roads (A63 and M62), railways and the Humber Bridge. Many fantastic Yorkshire locations are within an hour’s drive away including: Bridlington, Beverley, Hull and Scarborough.
If you’re coming to the guest house from Hull on the B1338, join the B1242 to Hornsea and turn right at the George & Dragon pub. From here continue onto East Newton Road, the third road on the left is Wentworth Grove.
