A modern country cottage set in 26 acres of meadow and countryside, Stone Barn in Ffostrasol near Llandysul offers accommodation for up to six people. The cottage stands within the grounds of Castell Farm, in a location ideal for activity holidays and peaceful, inspirational breaks. Writers, artists and photographers will find inspiration all around them, and in the summer months guests can enjoy a peaceful barbecue in the garden.
You'll find plenty of parking facilities within the grounds of Stone Barn, with various fantastic Wales attractions just a short walk or drive from the property. Sandy beaches can be found in Cardigan Bay, just twelve miles away, whilst local pubs and inns serve a selection of traditional meals and drinks daily or you may chose to relax in hot tub in the garden. You'll find an authentic Italian restaurant within walking reach of the cottage, and a variety of shops including an internet cafe and a market within a half-hour drive. Walking and cycling trails, including paths through peaceful nature reserves, are ideal for the more active holidaymaker. Historic attractions can be found throughout the region, and you'll be able to visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
Within Stone Barn, you'll find two bedrooms for up to six guests. The first, a ground floor bedroom, provides en-suite accommodation suitable for guests with limited mobility. The bedroom has a walk-in shower. Upstairs, another en-suite room features a king size bed and two single full-size futon beds. There's plenty of storage space, and the adjoining bathroom features a hand-made Welsh Dragon mosaic. The room also boasts independent access to the gardens.
For guests travelling with young children, a travel cot will be available at no extra charge. Additional on-site facilities, providing plenty to do on those rainy days, include Sky TV with DVD and vhs facilities, a PlayStation 2 console, games, books, jigsaw puzzles and magazines.
