A 17th Century coaching inn with rooms and restaurant, The Black Horse Hotel in Grassington dates from circa 1650 and sits in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We're in a perfect spot at the top of the cobbled square for enjoying Grassington's many year round festivals and events, with an outdoor seating area and 15 beautifully presented en-suite rooms. Relax in front of an open fire and enjoy an exceptional range of real ales, wines, whiskys and traditional English fayre. We have 15 uniquely designed guest rooms all with modern comforts including en-suite facilities with a bath and/or shower, wash basin, wc and complimentary toiletries. Dining for up to 100 diners is available across the bar and restaurant. In the restaurant alone we can accommodate up to 50 people with a catered menu tailored to your needs. Group bookings, parties and coach parties are all welcome.
A 2 night minimum stay applies at weekends (Friday and Saturday).
The Black Horse sits at the top of Grassington's cobbled village square, a hub location for all festivals and events including our popular September 1940s Weekend and the internationally acclaimed Grassington Music and Arts Festival annually in June/July.
Grassington is famed for its character independent gift and craft shops. The village also has a good choice of pubs and cafes, and is within easy reach of Skipton with its great markets and spectacular medieval castle.
Our location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales makes us the perfect year round walking, cycling and activity base. Pony trekking is available at the nearby Kilnsey Centre and we're within easy reach of Bolton Abbey, walking around Malham Tarn, Harrogate and Bronte Country.
