The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a multi fuel stove. Outside the cottage is an enclosed front garden with furniture and off road parking for one car. Set in the middle of the Snowdonia National Park and with stunning views, Glan-yr-Afon Cottage is a superb cottage in a stunning location.

Tanygrisiau was famous for its slate mining, producing a high quality black slate that was used across the world. Its railway station is on the famous Ffestiniog Railway, a narrow gauge railway built to carry slate from the mines down to the sea at Porthmadog, today it is a renowned tourist attraction.
