About The Red Lion

A traditional family run inn, The Red Lion at Lowick Bridge near Ulverston has a Tripadvisor Excellence Award and is a CAMRA member serving excellent cask ales and hearty home-cooked pub food.  We're just two miles from the shore of Coniston Water and surrounded by spectacular Lakeland scenery.  Three attractive en-suite rooms are available in-house and we host popular acoustic nights on the second Thursday of the month where all are welcome to join in.  Relax with best cask ales in the beer garden on warm summer days and nights admiring our views towards Coniston Old Man.

Our 3 guest rooms include 2 spacious doubles and 1 twin (the twin is available as a single).  All rooms have stunning country views and include en-suite bathrooms, TVs, hair dryers and tea/ coffee making facilities.

A Full English cooked breakfast is included in booking price.

Food and Drink

Food is cooked fresh to order, with lunchtime and evening meal menus available.   Traditional favourites on the menu include Whitby scampi, chips and salad, and Cumberland Sausage in a giant Yorkshire pudding with mash, vegetables and onion gravy.

Vegetarian choice is available along with a great dessert menu featuring the Red Lion style Eton mess!  We also have a children's menu, and lighter bites including sandwiches, jacket potatoes and a selection of salads are all available.
