Thurlestone Guest House on Carbis Bay just outside St Ives is a delightful, traditional Cornish granite house built in 1845. The B&B retains many of its original features, and offers all modern facilities and comforts. We're ideally situated close to the seaside town of St. Ives, one of the most popular resorts in Cornwall, with its quaint cobbled streets, high street and speciality shops, art galleries including The Tate, a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, and four main beaches that surround the town: St. Ives Harbour, Portminster Beach, Porthgwidden Beach, and Porthmeor Beach.
A 5 minute walk down the wooded footpath directly opposite the Thurlestone will lead guests straight to Carbis Bay beach, and within a short drive of the guest house is Lands End, Penzance, Truro City, The Eden Project, and many National Trust gardens and country houses. Add to these golfing, riding, walking, and fishing all available in the area: there is something for everyone!
The guest house offers 7 bedrooms, all tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard with en-suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, alarm clocks, a television, WiFi internet access, full central heating and refreshment facilities. Guests can enjoy a delicious Full English, Continental or Vegetarian breakfast, served in the dining area between 8:45am and 9:15am. Continental breakfast is available on room service when ordered the evening before.

Exit the A30 Hayle by-pass following signs for St Ives, A3074. Continue through Lelant village to Carbis Bay passing a convenience store on your left. The guest house is about 1/4 mile on and is adjacent to a newsagents.
Why not leave the car behind - getting to us by train couldn't be easier. Trains run direct from London Paddington to Penzance (change at St Erth for Carbis Bay). We'll happily pick guests up from local stations on request (but not from Newquay). Pick-up is available (free or for a small charge) from St Erth or Carbis Bay.
