    Around and About

The village of Lixwm stands on the edge of a Site of Special Scientific Interest on the slopes of Halkyn Mountain which is also a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is renowned for its panoramic views with the Clwydian Hills and Offa's Dyke close by and there are also several golf courses nearby. The nearby town of Holywell - the Lourdes of Wales - takes its name from a well surrounded by a chapel, which has been a site of pilgrimage since 660. Denbigh and the market town of Mold are also close by. The medieval city of Chester is just a short drive away and affords the visitor ample opportunity for sightseeing and shopping on the famous 'Rows'.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
